Crowns

Crowns are definitive restorations used to repair a tooth or improve its shape. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or partially destroyed by tooth decay. Crowns are almost always required for root canal treated teeth.

Crowns are needed when there is insufficient tooth structure to hold a filling. Unlike fillings which the material is directly used to build up the teeth, the crown is fabricated in the lab using an impression of your tooth. The crown is designed and sculpted for maximum function and esthetics.

Crowns are “cemented” onto an existing tooth that has been clinically shaped. In effect, the crown becomes your tooth’s new outer exterior. In Alpine dental, we are proud to offer porcelain fused to metal crowns that have both great esthetic looks and strong strength. To learn more, schedule an appointment with us right now!
